Going Natural

So this past Wednesday I went to the beach. Just wanted to say it, and I decided that after so long of getting a perm then taking it out and getting my hair straightened I've decided to go natural. Going natural for me is not using heat or trying very hard not to, then using no chemicals and not using any straightening tools or hot curlers or anything of that nature. So I'm letting my normal hair show and I want it to get healthy and stronger and hopefully one day it will be as long as I truly want it which is to my waist. Maybe when I get it to my waist I may get it straightened, but that would only be every few months and not a regular every two weeks.

I'm new to this and youtube is a great help for people who are just starting out. I'm doing a lot of trail and error and while its a waist, its kinda what I have to do. But so far I'm learned that shea butter helps lock in moisture, that getting a sulfate free shampoo for curly hair is a must, and having a good curly hair conditioner and if you can find a good leave it conditioner then that's good too. Don't think you need mouse, I thought I did, big mistake. Now I don't know what works well for others but this is what works for me.

Just a couple of hair styles I tried out. Simple yet easy. To make it more curly I twist my hair all over and use the shea butter to keep the ends together and wrap my hair with a satin scarf, if you don't have satin silk works too, but never use cotton, it defeats the purpose and makes your hair really sucky.
