Updates 9/11

So nothing really major, well I guess kinda major but nothing that we didn't ask for. We = Sakiyah (me) and best friend Melinda

So I have two videos to upload to YouTube to show you guys. The first is a a easy meal, I made chicken Alfredo so you guys can know how to make it, only needed a few things, its probably the easiest thing that I make which is sad cause a lot of people don't seem to know how to make it right, but there is a way to make it completely from scratch or you can do it my way. I can kinda do both, I just never get my Alfredo sauce right so I'm going to tell you the easy way, but I'll put link to a few places that I've gotten Alfredo sauce recipes from. The first time I did it, it worked but it just seems after, its not working for me, lol, oh well trail and error is the joy of cooking.

The second video is about Melinda and I's adventure last night. So we like to drive, just get in the car and go and that's what we did last night. Well about 78 miles from home my tire goes flat. Tried to do everything to get help but that didn't happen, so I called my mom. Didn't want too, but like usual she was being a bitch. She blamed me for everything happening. Said it was the dumbest thing I had ever done and kept asking why we didn't take Melinda's car and why I'm always driving my car. Only thing is we use to do that, and I was kinda being used I felt but we have been taking Melinda's car a lot more often. We took her car last time so it was my turn to take mine. And I wouldn't have taken my car if I thought something would be wrong, my car had been fine up here in Jacksonville. For 78 miles it hadn't been flat. We stopped to the side of the road for less than 2 minutes and my tire was completely flat. But I've said too much, you'll see it all in the video. Wish me luck cause I really need to get out of my mom's house. ^_^

Easy Meals: Honey Barbaque Salmon

So something different but still very easy to make. Everything you need is in the video and I show you step by step how to do anything. I'm trying different methods of showing what I do and what works best. I'm trying to save for a video camera so I can just use it and edit videos on my computer so you can see it with me talking and whatnot. I like using my phone but it takes too much time to upload to youtube then use the youtube editor and I rather just have it saved on my computer for later use so wait a bit and a better system will come out. But I have a lot more to show you guys. ^_^

Easy Meals: Fried Chicken Over Pasta

So I know it seems like I'm cooking a lot more, there is no video for this because as I was doing it I wasn't really sure how it would turn out, the chicken anyway and I didn't want to give you something that turned out bad. I am going to tweet what I tell you to do so that your dish can come out better that mine. Not taste wise, so don't think this doesn't taste good, I just rather have a better looking piece of chicken is all but at last everything turned out well.

What you'll need...

A chicken breast (cut in large halfs)
can of corn
can of peas
balsamic vinegar
Italian dressing
canola oil
butter
salt
seasoning salt
accent
ground black pepper
garlic powder
pasta of your choice (penne will work best and not the shell pasta)
flour
1 egg
milk
parmesan cheese dry grated or fresh whichever you prefer

First I made my pasta, boiled water put in oil and salt so the pasta won’t stick to the pot and to get it a little flavor. Salt brings out the flavor in foods. Then when it was boiling dumped in my pasta, stirred it for about a minute or two then turned it off and let it seat in the hot water. I will stir occasionally just to make sure its not sticking.

Now for your veggies, you are going to take corn and peas right from the can, drain them, get a pot or skillet, you have to clean up later so do what you want. I used a skillet. Put in a little balsamic vinegar, only enough in the bottom so maybe like four caps of the bottom it comes in. I don’t measure anything as you can tell so this is going to be on you but I don’t use a lot of anything, then take a little butter and let that heat up on five. Throw in your corn and peas and let it simmer on 2 and stir it around so the butter and vinegar can coat everything, put it on low. Take about three squeezes of Italian dressing and put that in the skillet at well and stir it in and let it sit.

Easy enough right, now this is the slightly hard part but still doable. Now I’m going to use a deep fryer next time, but if you don’t have one, and I don’t you can still make one of your own. What you will need to make your own is a metal basket which handles, a deep pot, and a lot of oil. Heat the pot, oil inside of course, and put in your basket then whatever you are deep frying, will work the same as having a deep fryer. Now if you don’t want to do all that what you can do is do it how I did.

I made a batter to coat my chicken. I first seasoned my chicken with everything above except salt and then let it chill to the side for a few minutes. Make sure you do both sides or only one side will actually taste really good and one will be bland. You also want to put holes in the chicken, just stab it a few times with a knife or fork, it won’t do anything it just helps it cook all the way through. Two you will take about half a cup of flour, 1 egg, cheese, and enough milk to make a paste. You want it slightly thick but enough so it sticks to the chicken but make sure you get all clumps of flour out and what not.

Use a frying pan, fill half of it with oil let it get hot. Turn down to 6 and dip chicken in batter then sit it slowly in the grease. Turn it over after you see the browning of the sides and put a top over it. Now you have to make sure its cooked all the way through, that’s why we do the holes. Cover with a top, put on 5 and let it kinda simmer just to make sure its all the way cooked and check on it, you are not leaving it, you will never leave it because you don’t want it to burn and you never leave hot grease unattended.

Drain you pasta. Pasta goes down first, put some Italian dressing over it, not a lot just a little, then your veggies and then your chicken, and your final result is shown above.

Easy Meals: Sweet & Savory Beef Stir Fry

This is the end result of what you get, very pretty I guess, lol, I don't really know how to make food pretty I just put it in the bowl or on the plate and get ready to eat but hey I guess this looks okay though. So I'll take you through the process of making this savory meal which only takes about maybe 30 minutes, actually most of what I cook is really fast, it just takes some prep time, which is the longest part.

So you take beef chunks, you have buy already cut like beef stew or you can buy some normal beef and cut it yourself, just make sure you wash it will cold water and cut off any assess fat. You will need...

soy sauce
nutmeg
cinnimon
sugar
honey
seasoning salt
garlic powder
accent
pepper
olive oil
scallions

You will first rinse your scallions off and cut them into sections as big as you want, I did about an inch wide, keeping the white parts (the onion) as well and put them to the side. Taking a large bowl I mixed all my ingredients, then dumped the beef and scallions in side, mixing it with the now dark sauce that I've created. Get a baking pan, put aluminin foil inside, and dump your beef and onion into it then cover with another sheet of aluminin. Place your oven on 350 and check it every five minutes to see how its cooking. I like mine well down so I wanted to make sure it was completely dark on the top.

Sorry for the lop sided picture.

You next take half an onion, yellow bell pepper and green bell pepper, and cut them into strips, like so ...

You are going to cook your bacon next, putting your stove on five and leaving it there are you turn over your bacon until it is crispy and you are ready to take it out the pan. Once you have take it out you are leaving the grease, throwing in the veggies and a little sugar honey and sauce to give it a nice flavor. You will saute this on 5 for amount five to ten minutes, depends on how you like it then put it on low and leave it alone.

Your rice is very simple, take a pot, get whatever amount you want I filled it about an inch, then i cleaned it off a little. rinsing it and put an inch of water over the rice and a piece of butter and some salt. Bowl in on high til the water is gone, but it on 4 after that, flake the rice with a fork from the bottom don't stir, put a top over and let it chill for five minutes then check back. If its still glistening like it has water, turn it to two and just let it sit for a bit and when your beef is down you can eat it.

We crunched our bacon up after it was cooled and crispy. Then as the first picture above, we put the rice, then the beef, the veggies and last the bacon on top.

It may seem difficult to cook, but I promise this is where I come in, its very easy and it can be fun too.

Really... this shit again....

First it was you don't have any bride in yourself cause you stopped getting your hair done know its you sleep in the clothes you wear outside what kinda sense does that make you have an ordor and you can't smell yourself but other people can and that's nasty, I don't wear it to anywhere important just to go to the store or to go to someone else's house really quick, places I'm not staying for too long and not even five minutes of being inside her house my grandmother she gets on me like what the hell leave me alone man. Nothing is wrong with how I dress like shut the fuck up and be nice

Easy Meals: Chicken Gizzard Stew

Don't let the name full you, it was actually good, even my mom said so and she is very opinionated when it comes to food cause she knows how to cook. Now if you want you can take this and switch out a few things and do chicken breast, beef, shrimp, etc if you don't want the gizzards. So I didn't know what to make with them when I pulled them out of the freezer but I was like might as well make stew. So what you'll need is...

chicken gizzard (chicken breast, beef, shrimp, scallops etc)
carrots
pears
onions (optional, I didn't want them after using so next time I won't)
celery
potatoes
flour
chicken stock (beef stock)
large pot for everything to be mixed in
boiling pot for potatoes
baking pan
seasoning salt
garlic powder
accent
black pepper
olive oil

First you are going to clean your meat whatever it might be. Season it and but aluminum foil in the baking pan, put your meat inside coat lightly with olive oil and cover with another piece of foil and let it cook on 350 until cooked completely, make sure you are checking it so it doesn't burn.

cut up your potatoes to however big you want and put them in water and let them boil for about five minutes then turn the eye off and let them stand as you do everything else.

Cut up all your veggies taking your largest pot dump them in and your stock and let them simmer for about ten minutes. Once your meat is done, dump into the veggie pot and then drain your potatoes and put them in as well. Now you want to add more seasoning until you like the taste. To get the stew part, you have to add flour to the mix you it becomes thick. and let it stand and for about another ten minutes, check on it though and tastes it as you go along, make sure your carrots aren't hard and when they aren't you are ready to serve.

It may look gross but I promise its really good and hearty too, also this is when it was cold, dumb me forgot to take a pic when I first made it. I need to get better at that lol.

Fugi Sushi: Still My Favorite Sushi Spot

So not how to make sushi but a good place to get it if you're in Jacksonville or have one near you. I don't know if its a chain, but I know I have three here near me. But I've only gone to the one in Regency Square, well behind it. So I wanted to try a new roll, cause I kinda stay in my not comfort zone but I get the same stuff that I love all the time and don't really switch up that much. So I got my usual stuff, the rainbow roll, spicy salmon roll, seafood lover, and clear soup. But I wanted to try something new so I got an Ichiban Roll. I hope I spelled that right, but I probably didn't, but if you go to a sushi spot and they have something like this then you know what it is. It had eel and avocado on the outside and I think salmon on the inside or it may have been tuna, I forgot, I just know it was awesome! My god, I need to try more stuff from Fugi. I'm going Friday so I'll get more pics and stuff and how you guys the seafood lover and clear soup cause I forget to take a picture of that. Oh and they have really good Bento boxes, I didn't get one this time but I did a while back I'll get a pic of that too when I go after this trip. Oh also I'm gonna do reviews on food a little, like places that I love to eat and how you can get the same things at home if you wanna try it yourself cause I'm always doing that too, lol.

So rainbow at the top, Ichiban in the middle and spicy salmon, uh.. So pretty and delicious.

Not the Tattoo I Thought I Was Getting....

Pissed Off: Its Not My Day

I need a drink so bad, I need something, I'm so upset right now. So some shit went down last night but I'll talk about that in a minute. So you all know I'm getting my tattoo, the day was the day. The picture looks great except there are three problems one its only for one side of my leg not a sleeve, two it has a beard which I didn't want, and three I asked for five claws around my orb not three. I wanted a half sleeve of my dragon lotus. Yeah I didn't get that today. He said he would start to draw on me free hand, fuck that bull.... It looked like a f-ing snake with horns. I have this dude two weeks and he couldn't deliver what I wanted. Hey for some people they may love the artists but dude you are not going to be drawing ugly shit on me and think I'm going to keep it for the rest of my life. My tattoos are a one time deal and I'm not getting them covered, alerted or whatever. They are what I want and will never change. So I just left after he got through a bit of drawing, he didn't even listen the second time after I told him what I wanted and how he could draw it, I'm like dude are you deaf.

The first thing was last night. I accidentally put a person gas on another pumped. Which in turn they pumped 20.06 of the guys gas. They came inside to pay after I called out to them. I told the first guy to pump the gas then come back in so he could swipe his card again so he would get his whole 40 in gas and be straight. So simple enough, I've done this a few times, I'm rushing or just don't pay attention then shit messes up. Its cool, everyone is happy in the end, wrong! This dude throws a mother f-ing tantrum. He's calling the police telling them I've stole his money. He's trying to get me shut down and wants me to call my manger. I've been there almost two years and have dealt with everything. Even though I should have called my manger, I wasn't about to call him for some bullshit just cause this guy didn't understand, and the bad thing is, he completely was reciting everything I told him but he didn't get any of it. I'm like you can speak but you don't understand, how is that? Sad thing is, the dude has a prostitute with him, she even pleads for him to take 20 out of her money he is supposed to give her just so I don't get in trouble. Come on now, don't you think if I was wrong she would do that. If I'm wrong I'm wrong but she understood the whole deal and was trying to blow the situation over, I'm just standing there like what the hell is wrong with you. But I did good though, I'm known for cursing people out after awhile, cause this shit when on for more than half and hour, but I didn't say one curse word I was so proud of myself lol.

And then the third thing, this was right after I finished writing the other parts. I can't stand kids and for good reason, I love my niece and nephews but if either one of them even tried me like this, I would have knocked them to the ground so hard I wouldn't be writing this too you now. So kid comes in trying to get some stuff, his card doesn't work. The cashier at the time was not me and he says she can't talk, although she is trying to tell him that there is no money on his card. He isn't more than 12, bad ass fucker. So a lady in line tells him he needs to stop being so rude and show some respect, I'm like fuck that, I take his shit away and tell him to leave and he is going all out his mouth about how the lady in line is a fat ass ho and fuck this, she can't talk and then as I'm walking out to put his stuff back he tries getting into with me. And saying I can't say shit since I'm not in uniform. His dad or whoever wants to know what's wrong and sticks up for him and shit cause I called him a bastard, the kid not the dad, which I apologized for right after cause I shouldn't have said that, but man I couldn't hold that in, and since that uniform wasn't on, I have to just go about it and be like bitches! So assistant manger steps outside and tells the dad what happened and I go back inside an everyone is talking about the bad little bastard. So a lady from the car the kid got out of comes in and I tell her sorry for calling the kid a bastard, and she's like no, don't even worry about it cause that boy is bad and his dad just wants to take up for him. I'm like thank you, so not wrong right now, lol. Ok so that was Tuesday night and Wednesday day, not good for me.

I oiled my hair today so ill just wet it in the shower and twist it tonight before I go to bed, I'm so tired lately too and just lazy in general that I don't want to do it and sad thing it goes back to being straight like its only staying for a day or so and goes back wondering if I should do braids but I want to be able to play with it. Urgh gotta for.d stuff to do I guess.

Update on posting...

Should be way more often I found the app for blogger so updates will come more often and pics and information on what I'm up too shall come along better as well. For anyone reading is there something you'd like me to talk about maybe topics. I'm also going to so videos and what not but they will be from my phone since i don't have a good camera.

New job

Its time for me to look for a new job, I'm not really complaining but it sucks that although I've been here longer than everyone except one person I'm getting screwed out of hours, its like what the hell. I don't expect to get fourty because we have five people working here but if I always work 5 days o expect it to stay the same and then the person higher than me gets five and everyone below us share the rest of the hours isn't that how its supposed to be. Also it's sad I've been here almost two years and haven't moves from my position when I've asked many times to become assistant manger, I already do orders better than everyone else, I train new people, and I can do paper work but no one is letting mme do the rest it just sucks cause I'm wasting my time, but things are so rough right now I don't know what to do. I really just want to be treated fairly, but hey they always get risk of the good ones and I'll find something soon maybe two jobs will be good for me.

2nd Tattoo Journey.

Ok don't look for the first cause I don't have it, I got the first on a whim but I don't regret it because I love it and I'm glad I didn't think about it too much, because as my first it became the basis for all my other tattoos. Its a yin and yang with waves around it. I'll do another post later about it and all that good stuff.

So the 2nd tattoo I'm getting is going to be right next to the one I have now. It shall be a dragon with lotus flowers and Japanese style waves around it. I have the ideas already set up but I'm going to take you on my journey through me getting it done and all that good stuff. First I had to find a place which took me like a month. My first tat was in Orlando and loved the girl that drew it up and the guy that colored it, both were awesome, but its hard finding a place in Jacksonville. But I finally found one, Ironclad at the beach. He got me excited about doing it more so I'm hoping things go well but I like his work and all the artwork on the walls are Asian style which makes me feel better because all my tattoos are going to be Asian in some way.

The head of my dragon...

The colors I want him to be....

How the flowers should translate into the dragon....

How the waves should be, like the style...

The position of how I want the dragon....

His head will go toward my yin and yang and the whole tattoo with be from knee to ankle. I'll be showing updates on Wednesday of how the picture looks, because I have to go meet up with GP and talk about it. But I'm very excited to get it down and can't wait for the 24th. It will be done in stages but the outline will be down then, and don't worry pics and everything will join.

New foods and new ideas....

The first is my version of ramen. I use corn, boiled eggs, mushrooms, scallions, shrimp, thin sliced beef cooked in soy sauce and sugar, noodles, I go to the Asian markets and pick up some I don’t really like using the regular ramen, because its more salty and less healthy, and I think that’s it. Not going into great detail about how to make it, but everything is very simple. Boil two cans of chicken stock, or one depending on how much you want, I like a large portion so I use two. Then I cut everything up and take the tails off the shrimp but leave them whole and put more garlic, seasoning salt, pepper and chili flakes or chili pepper, into the chicken stock and let it boil then turn it down to 5 so it can stay hot. Then I make my noodles drain them. And I make the beef, a small frying pan on 5, it doesn’t go higher or lower, and put in olive oil, some sugar and soy sauce and let it cook slowly. Put the noodles in a bowl, then the beef and pour everything from the broth over everything and you have a healthy awesome meal.

The second is a new thing I tried. My mom made shrimp and scallops a few days back and I really wanted the rest of what was left over but didn’t want rice, like we had put with it, so I did grits. Ok for those of you that might comment and say, people do this all the time, well I don’t. I’ve never once had shrimp and grits and didn’t know how good it could take. Well I did it again today but instead I used olive oil with balsamic vinegar, minced onions and garlic and through the shrimp in and I cut up potoates, but instead of doing what I did, throw them in with everything else, boil them so they are soft first then put them in. Made eggs and bacon like normal and put that in with the other stuff. Made the grits and put the grits in a bowl, poured everything over, put some more salt for taste and mixed it all together and was chilling. Oh I also used corn too, cause I really wanted some, best veggie ever!

Apologies and Updates

So the last post I sounded so, snobbish when explaining the whole phone thing, no one said anything but I felt bad afterward and I'm sorry for that. It didn't want it to sound that way because I'm not a snob and I don't think that way. So my apologies.

Just updates of what I've been doing and how the hair is going and how other things are. Remember I lost the pics on the phone, still haven't started to recreate them, don't think I will, think I'll just continue from where I left off.

So I went to a new nail salon, if you live in Jacksonville, Florida it’s called Lisa’s Nails, its across from Publix. They are really cheap and really awesome. My nails still look awesome and I’m so happy. I asked for the orange design, but I wanted it in pink and she gave me so much more on my hands and feet. This only cost $40, I’m not kidding, just 40. And I have found a new place.

Having a different outlook on my phone...

I've been noticing things about my phone not bad things just things that are awesome. I'm one of those people that get the best stuff like phone and computer wise but never know how to use it. Like right now I have a nexus s phone and my dumb butt doesn't really care to know everything about it. For example this whole post I could do in voice cause my phone does voice messages. Yeah I didn't know what that button was lol. But hey it's fun to learn something new every day. I gotta upload some stuff so ill do that tonight cause I got a new nail place and some more hair styles.

So Pissed....

So my phone starts going really slow two days ago, like metro pcs slow, and I'm like what the hell. Come to find out Tmobile is now making sure people go glow after they reach their limit. Ok cool, that's fine, but the first dumbass I talked too, he tells me to do a master reset and says my pics and video's and music will be saved, that was a load of crap. Nothing got saved, the music I'm cool with cause I always have it on my computer but now my freaking pics are gone and I have like a 100 still on there and I can't upload them and or do anything with them, I'm so annoyed right now, but oh well I guess, that's my fault for not putting them on my computer when I had the chance but its still that guy Nick's fault cause I asked if the pics and songs would be cool and he told me yes and now all my stuff is gone..... urgh not a good week.

Oh by the way, never get drinks at cheesecake factory, 2 drinks came to 22 dollars, I'm not lying.

Hairstyles and Tips:

So I'm going natural like I said, its all been a minute since I updated. I'll try updating once a week, it just sucks cause I never actually get on my computer but I'm always on my phone but I can't get the website to work on my phone or for the message through the site to work either and since I never get on the computer it takes longer for me, but I'm gonna try I really am, maybe every Saturday I can do it before I go to work or sometime during the day and what not. Now on to what this post is really about, hairstyles and tips for natural hair.

Over the last week and a half I put weave, kinky weave into my hair.

This was the result....

Some of the hair styles I did....

If you want something like this you can get it braided like me and the ends left out or you can get twists, its best to look up different things and figure out what you want you hair to look like, getting pics from google is the best way to show someone so they can do it. I can't remember how I found my pic and although it didn't come out exactly how I wanted, I still liked it, it was thicker and I think that became my main goal. I have thin hair, I mean its kinda thick but not so much and I was happy to have more hair added to my own. I greased it to the scalp and made sure to wear a satin bonnet every night and I just made sure not to do a lot too it, it I did a style it stayed that way for the whole day. To make it more lively I put water or oil sheen, and just misted it over the hair. I didn't wash or co-wash, I just let it be and made sure to oil it every couple days.

Transformers, Weed, and stuff

So I went to see Transformers Dark Side of the Moon on Tuesday, well Wednesday really cause of the midnight showing. Went to my favorite movie theater, AMC Regency, best place in the world right now for movies. Even went to a place in Daytona, didn't compare although they did that better popcorn, only cause you could pick what kinda topping to put on it, like cheddar cheese or Parmesan, or etc. But on to the movie. I think if I would have watched it in regular and not 3D then it would have been the same, cause I'm kinda of annoyed with the 3D. I guess I expect stuff to be hitting me in the face and making me jump back, but I didn't see that. I didn't really see anything flying at me and it up set me. Its like why did I even pay the extra money for the 3D when I'm sure I could have watched it normally and it would have been just the same. I probably won't go to any more 3D movies cause its just a waist. IMAX is the way to go but they didn't have it in IMAX although I heard another theatre has it so I might check them out later.

Weed.... I don't smoke anything, I tried smoking a cigarette once cause I saw my mom smoking and wanting to be like her when I was little, but I didn't get it cause it didn't do anything so I said whatever to that. I've never tried weed and have never resulted to smoking it. If you smoke I really don't care but I won't probably be your friend, maybe say what's up in the street, but I won't be chilling with you are dating you. That said, I had a customer come in today and asked if we had any rolling papers. I gave him what he asked for. He's like, "Those are Jokers not rolling papers." Me, "They are..." He cuts me off, "I don't want the ones you can lick, its a weed thing." A grown man is telling me this. " I laugh to cover my disgust, then he says, "It helps you get through the day." I smile and say, "No it just makes people more stupid." I know he heard me but he didn't respond back as he left my counter and walked out the door. I hate weed, it makes people become more dumbassish than they already are.

Oh at the movies, I embarrassed my nephew which I shouldn't have and I apologized for it but I just wanted to write about it. He had pulled one of the girl's hair, my brother's girlfriend's kids. I hate having to say that, but its so you understand the relationship. Well I yelled and shit and started acting all ghetto which isn't be, but I have anger management problems but I told him I would try really hard for it not to happen again cause that was wrong especially since it was right after Transformers was letting out and so many people were around.

Did I have anything else to say, don't remember, I wrote it all down but I can't find my paper, lol. Oh well I'll write more if I remember anything else.

Day with Mel

So my first experience with alcohol was horrid. It didn't get me drunk and I didn't get sick, the crap just tasted so freaking bad I could drink any more. It didn't burn when it went down, I just drank cough medicine, that's what I thought it was. But nope it was Grey Goose. Sorry for all the people that love Grey Goose, but man never will I try it again unless its mixed with something.

My second experience I tried a strawberry daiquiri from Red Lobster. I actually love the virgin one but man, one sip of the alcohol one, and I said nope and said forget and got a virgin. My lounge felt like it was tasting burntness (yes I know, not a word but oh well) and something else, *shudders* it was horrible.

So today I went to O'Charley's with my friend Mel. I was craving fish and she had gotten her hair done and we had lunch early at PK Noodles, one of the best Viet. places ever. Well out waitress told us two drinks were really good. So all I have to say is that if you want to buy me a drink you can get me the tangerine pomegranate margarita or a tangerine grapefruit margarita. I like the pomegranate one more and hopefully my next time out I can order a Panty Dropper, the waitress recommended it, pineapple and orange juice, so what I need, lol. But hey at least I found something I can drink. I felt bad not drinking, maybe I just have to find a mix, cause I do want to have new stuff, so at least I found two so far. ^_^

Oh say hi to Mel's shoulder, she was trying to move, but I didn't really care if she was in the shot, so you got a shoulder, ohhh.... alluring.

Going Natural

So this past Wednesday I went to the beach. Just wanted to say it, and I decided that after so long of getting a perm then taking it out and getting my hair straightened I've decided to go natural. Going natural for me is not using heat or trying very hard not to, then using no chemicals and not using any straightening tools or hot curlers or anything of that nature. So I'm letting my normal hair show and I want it to get healthy and stronger and hopefully one day it will be as long as I truly want it which is to my waist. Maybe when I get it to my waist I may get it straightened, but that would only be every few months and not a regular every two weeks.

I'm new to this and youtube is a great help for people who are just starting out. I'm doing a lot of trail and error and while its a waist, its kinda what I have to do. But so far I'm learned that shea butter helps lock in moisture, that getting a sulfate free shampoo for curly hair is a must, and having a good curly hair conditioner and if you can find a good leave it conditioner then that's good too. Don't think you need mouse, I thought I did, big mistake. Now I don't know what works well for others but this is what works for me.

Just a couple of hair styles I tried out. Simple yet easy. To make it more curly I twist my hair all over and use the shea butter to keep the ends together and wrap my hair with a satin scarf, if you don't have satin silk works too, but never use cotton, it defeats the purpose and makes your hair really sucky.

Easy Meals: Tbone, salad, baked potato

I marinated the steak in black pepper, accent, seasoning salt, garlic powder, and Wisconsin sauce for about two hours, let it soak up all the flavors. Then I cut up butter and threw it over the meat and around it on aluminum foil in a cook pan and threw olive oil over it and around so it wouldn't stick and wouldn't dry out. Cook it to how every you want, rare, medium rare, well done, etc.

Wet your baked potato and pop it in the microwave for ten minutes then take it out, wrap it in aluminum foil and let it chill in the oven for about 30 minutes or so, check it and put a knife throw different parts to see how soft it is. When it goes through with ease like butter but take it out. I added salt and pepper, butter and sour cream to mine, you add whatever you want.

Then my salad was easy. Some lettuce, whichever you prefer, chopped tomato, some sliced carrots, and a little of your favorite dressing and your meal is done.

Easy Meals: All Star Breakfast

So I'm one of those people that when I want breakfast, I usually want everything and I don't know what to choose so I just make everything. Its a really bad thing and I don't do it that often so at least I don't eat so much all the time, but hey I don't eat it a lot so when I do, I have to go all out. So as you can see a lot of things, I'm not going to list ingredients, I don't really feel like it for this one so I'll just tell you how I made everything instead.

Yes I burnt the pancakes a little, was listening to music on my head phones and forgot to turn around and flip them, probably should have but the second on top since it wasn't burnt, but hey it was still awesome and no it didn't have a burnt taste, it was just a little black is all. How to: pancakes. You mix a small amount, depends on how many you want, of flour, sugar, egg, and milk. You want it thick but not so thick that its like bread dough, just in between liquid and thick. Heat a little vegetable oil and mix it into the batter. Take a small amount just enough to make the frying pan shinny and put whatever amount of batter into the pan. You want this on four because you want it to cook slow so you can watch it properly. Wait until the edges have turned up a little, maybe browning and then flip it. You will have leakage of the batter but its cool, no worries, you will get better as you continue to practice. Its its not light brown on the side you see, then let the cooking side sit longer than you did the first and then flip it over, flip it a few more times til you get the desired color. Repeat the process til all the batter is gone or you have made enough.

On to bacon and sausage. Keep your pan on five and then let it cook itself. You are going to turn it over or roll it so it cooks evenly, cut the sausage if you need to make sure it done and no more pink is there. The bacon til crispy or however you want it to be, but remember you don't want to get sick, so better til crispy.

The eggs, yeap, that's carrot, just sliced up, some chopped tomato and onions, and cheese. I sauteed the veggies first so they would be a little soft, then I put the egg on top and scrambled them as usual but I made sure to cook it on five so it was slow and I didn't get a hard scramble.

The toast, pop it into the toaster, a little butter, then some jelly and you have the above. Fun eats! ^_^

Nails: Let's try some designs ^_^

Might be wondering why I haven't showed any nail art or anything in a month, well its cause I messed up my nail really bad so I have to wait for it to heal so I can get them done again. If you want to know exactly what I do to them, I get a fake tips then acrylic powder/gel on top of them. Yep that's it, they last about six weeks, without fill in, but I use my hands a lot so I sometimes have them break but its my own fault cause I hit them on things or snap something and they break that way. I've learned the lesson, especially with the pain, but I'm going to get them thicker next time I go so they will hold up longer hopefully. But I do have designs I'll be getting and I'll show you guys what they are. ^_^

I need to do this more often.....

Ok I'm gonna post a lot today and I'll try posting every day from now on I promise. ^_^ Wish me luck.

Procrastination

I have the worst problem with this. When it comes to working out, when it comes to writing, doing this blog, everything in life, I do that with. Usually it works well 'cept for the working out, but I don't really know how to change that. I'm someone who likes having things done quickly and not waiting around for them. I've always been that way and its sad that I think that way and I wish it wasn't that way but.... People say when you're honest with yourself you change, yeah, that doesn't happen, at all.

Easy Meals: Turkey Stir Fry

This is a as needed type of recipe. I will give you ingredients, you choose how much, depending on how many you serve.

chopped onion
sliced strips of green bell pepper
chopped mushrooms
chopped or whole carrots (whichever you prefer)
chow mein noodle or thin spaghetti
chopped broccoli
ground turkey
soy sauce
sugar
extra virgin olive oil

Ok so first things first, make sure you have prepared and chopped everything up. Take a skillet and pour in about two caps olive oil then put a little soy sauce and sugar in, just enough so you can have a dark color of oil. You don't wanna put a lot because it will taste too salty or sweet, you want a good balance, so make sure you put the same amount of both, depending on how much you make. You are going to throw your onion and pepper in letting them saute on medium heat. While that's going you're going to boil water for your noodles and if you have tools to steam, steam the broccoli, if not you'll leave it alone for now.

Once the water boils put the pasta in, a little salt and some oil, and make sure to keep pushing it back and forth, you don't want it to stick together. Use a spoon with holes and place your onion and bell pepper to the side on a plate. Take your mushrooms and do the same that you did with the onion. Repeat the same process for the carrots and broccoli. But when you do the broccoli put a top over it, a little bit of water in the pan you're using and let it steam a little while its soaking up the rest of the mixture. If you need or want to add more oil, sugar, and soy sauce, go right ahead. Just make sure you are watching yourself and don't go overboard, you want a light taste nothing heavy.

Once all the veggies are done place them to the side and put only oil in the pan and cook your ground turkey. Once its done, place your veggies back into the pan and mix it all together. Your noodles should be done, well before this, but you can always turn them off and just let them sit in the hot water until you are ready. Drain the water off and you can do one of two things here. You can put a little oil, sugar and sauce, directly on the noodles and just mix them a little, or you can get a bowl or plate, put the noodles on the bottom and the veggies on top and mix it so that the flavors from the veggies and meat get through the noodles. It doesn't matter, its all up to you which way you want to do things.

But eat it hot or cold, it actually can go both ways, but hot is better, and have fun eating.

Idoits At Work

So I work at a gas station, don't remember if I mentioned it or not. I have to get the trash at certain points at night and I also change the water buckets so you guys can clean your windows. I wear gloves to do this. Not because its dirty, trash yes, but its because we have a butt load of spiders and bugs and I don't feel like getting bite by then cause if I do, well, its on, and every bug is going down. So most people joke with me about it, thinking I'm wearing them cause of the money or something else, but I just tell them why and they just joke and its all good. So why last night while I'm at work this stupid dumbass comes and asks me why I'm wearing them. To be funny I say because you're dirty. I said it with a smile and even laughed afterward. He says he's going to call the police on me because I'm wearing gloves. I'm like go right ahead, you'll look like the dumb one when they come up here. I'm waiting and he just looks at me, gets the weed smoking cigarillos he wants and leaves. Yeah, people can be..... Urgh is all I can say.

A co-worker, different store, new girl, but there is no excuse for what's going on. She sells over $1000 in cards to a person over the phone. WHO THE HELL DOES THAT? Even if God himself is on the other line you don't give codes and card numbers over the phone to someone. Like how is that even possible, I will never understand how people can do something like that. Thing is this is the true situation.... Let's say you leave your credit card to my store and you're my boss. I know your voice and everything. You call back later asking for your card number and the information on it, and I know its your voice and I give it to you. Now you come up a few minutes later and ask for the card. Then we talk and I say did you get what you needed, the card info... and the boss is like, I never called back to get anything. How would you feel if someone did that to you, they just gave these phone voices your money or a companies money and then they get fired but it doesn't help anything. That money is still lost. But who does shit like that, I mean, that's common sense, you don't give any info over the phone unless you call about P90x or Turbo Fire, or something you are ordering online, other than that, nothing is over the phone, like really are people just retarded.

Another thing, last thing, some people don't read the credit card machine reader, cool, but please next time I ask for your pin number DON'T TELL ME, JUST TYPE IT IN. And they are quick to tell me, I'm like what the hell, I don't even let my own mom know my pin number why are you tell me a completely stranger.

Work Rant!

I really do hate my job, its not that I can't do the work, its that people around me don't seem to know how too. Now I will completely be honest and admit I don't clean the windows like I should or dust the shelves like I should, but other than that I do what I'm supposed to do. How hard is it to pull sodas from a more or less tool shed and stock them in the five coolers we have. Or does it take so much time and energy to go into a cooler and pull energy drinks and whatnot and put them in an inside cooler? Or can you please push beer around and stock it and condense what you see? How hard is it to do that? I do it everyday and I can leave on time, handle customers, and still make sure the store looks awesome when I leave at night. Now why can't anyone else do this. Its like people don't want to work, I'm cool if you tell me I gotta do this or that or the other, but its like so why couldn't you at least tell me or try doing it yourself. 136 sodas, not including the sodas I moved from one side to the other so they wouldn't be old, plus the energy drinks that I had to stock and that was about 50 or so. Thank you for that, two days I'm gone and the store is shit and you and even higher ups don't care. I hate my job as much as the next person but I'd love it if people just did their part, things would run a lot smoother.

Q: "You can't complain about something if you don't try easing the problem yourself."

Easy Meals: Shrimp Alfredo

Today I made a favorite mine, shrimp Alfredo. I love seafood and I forgot my mom had gotten me some shrimp a about a week ago. So went to the store to make this. If you wondering what you need and how to make it, here is what you need.

1/2 lb small shrimp
any kind of pasta, I used linguine
broccoli, cut up
baby mushrooms
alfredo sauce
seasonings: salt, pepper, seasoning salt, garlic powder
olive oil
balsamic vinegar

Boil the water for your pasta and put a little olive oil and salt into it, then put your pasta in and stir it while it cooks. With your shrimp make sure you take the shells off and have rinsed them in cold water. I baked my shrimp but you can do the same on top of the store in a frying pan by sauteing them. Get a good enough size pan for the shrimp, put as much or as little seasonings as you want, this is all down by eye because you might just want a little or a lot, but be warned, don't use a lot of salt or the seasoning salt, you will regret it. Splash the balsamic vinegar a few times and make sure it gets on all the shrimp, then do the same with the olive oil and but in the oven on 350 until they are pink and have a nice color. You want to make sure they are done. If you see they are all pink, maybe after about 10 to 15 minutes, keep them in maybe five minutes more if you really want to make sure they are finished. While you stir your pasta, you are either going to steam your broccoli and mushrooms. After everything is finished you will drain the pasta and put it back in the pot, but make sure there is no water. Then take the shrimp along with the juice and pout it into the pot. Do the same with the veggies but don't put any of the water into it, just the veggies themselves. Put the Alfredo sauce on top, about half the jar, then mix. Now pour the rest of the Alfredo and mix it well and serve.

Nail and Hair Day

Went to get my hair and nails done today, its my Friday routine from now on. A pic of what I wanted my nails to look like and how they turned out was way better, the lady from Tammy's always does a good job.

I promise Ann I'm trying to get easier designs. She likes the ones I give her but I know its probably a pain in the butt to do them. But no matter what she always gives me what I wanted and more. I got my toes done the same to, well the big toe anyway.
